Married Thomas Jefferson Duncan 15 Aug 1853 in Saline, Arkansas.
Mother of at least 8 children
She was a tender mother here,
And in her life the Lord did tear;
We trust our loss will be her gain
And that in Christ she's gone to reign.
Born in Mississippi, to: William Bullion (1784 – 1853)and
Naomi Amelia 'Amy' Bolling (1786 – 1853). married Thomas Jefferson Duncan on August 15, 1853, in Arkansas, when she was 20 years old.
Mariah and Thomas Jefferson left Arkansas, in about 1853, headed to Texas. They were going to settle in Oatmeal, Texas, but along the way, they heard of the Indian Uprisings, so they redirected themselves to Liberty Hill, close to the San Gabriel River. They built a home and large barn there on about 120 acres. Their 8 children were raised in the old small home in the wooded hill country.
Children: William Alexander "Alex" Duncan 1854 – 1946 ;
