William Dover Robinson

William Dover Robinson, 56, of Beattyville, formerly of Brushy Road, Varney, died Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009, at his home.

He was born in Pike County, Oct. 2, 1952, the son of the late Cleston and Gredis Nichols Robinson.

He was disabled and a member of the Little Virgie Old Regular Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by one son, Jimmy Combs; and three siblings, Okie Mae Clark, James Cleston Robinson and Curtis Robinson.

He is survived by his wife, Mae Jeanette Robinson; three children, Adren Blackburn of Hardy, William Robinson and Tina Kearns, both of Beattyville; five siblings, Virgie Robinette of Varney, Tilda Hinkle of Pikeville, Roberta McCoy of South Williamson, Betty Jo McGhan of Alabama and Leon Robinson of Brushy Fork Road, Varney; and eight grandchildren, William Dougie Robinson, Brittany Kearns, Brandon Kearns, Alexis Kearns, Destiny Kearns, Chasity Blackburn, J.D. Blackburn, and Emily Combs.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, in the Apple Orchard Old Regular Baptist Church with Richard Staton, Paul Maynard and Hobart Hamilton officiating.

Burial followed in the Apple Orchard Cemetery, Varney.

Arrangements were under direction of Community Funeral Home of Zebulon.
