Graveside service for James C. Steinbrink, 85, 1905 S.E. Waverly ave., who died Friday at the Linn Care Center, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Willamette Memorial Park.
He was born Sept., 8, 1893 at Elwood, Neb., and lived there until 1934 when went to work for the Federal Work Progress Administration. Steinbrink married Lillian Devinney in 1924 at Elwood.
From 1941 to 1947 he worked at the U. S. Navy's ammunition depot in Hastings, Neb. He moved to Albany in 1947 and went to work for the state of Oregon. After his retirement he worked as a custodian at the Mid Willamette Family YMCA.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Surviors include one daugher, Martha Molina of Mira Loma, Calif., four sons, Jery, Leonard and Myron, all of Albany, and Harold of Salem; three brothers, Charles and Leo of Elwood, Neb., and Earl of Los Angeles; four sisters, Alice Draher and Velma Steinbrink of Hastings, Neb., Abbie Dreher of Loyeland, Colo., and Elda Wiley of North Platte, Neb., 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Oregon Heart Association.
