Mrs. Peggy Jean Mulvaney King, 83, died Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Oxford Health and Rehab. The funeral service will be held Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 3:00 P.M. at Waller Funeral Home in Oxford, MS with Rev. Stoney Moorhead officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Flat Cemetery in Oxford, MS. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:30 to 3:00 P.M.
Born in Newport, Arkansas to the late Barney John and Winnie James Mulvaney, Mrs. King was a salesperson at Dillard's in HOT Springs, AR and Memphis, TN. Her grandchildren were the love of her life.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Billy D. King of Water Valley, MS; a daughter, Brenda Powell of Collierville, TN; a son, Doyce King and his wife, Alisa of Nesbit, MS; a sister, Beverly Mackenzie of Southaven, MS; eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren (one on the way).
