@};- (I refer to him as my Grandpa), is my biological, Maternal Great-Granddad who passed away before I was born. One of his sons, Corbin Estel Pennington, Sr. & his wife, Mary Emmaline "Emma" (Kiser), Pennington, which are my Maternal Grandparents, raised me from the age of 6 days & later adopted me, after already having five children of their own. I never, ever, saw them as my Grandparents, and to this very day, I see them as my parents. They were terrific parents & oh how very blessed I was. Thank U GOD, for these two beautiful people, who took me in, as their daughter & took very good care of me. ~ Mom of T.L.T. Mon., 12-8-2014.

*** Jesse Pennington, (my biological, Maternal Great Granddad), was born in a Leap Year on a Saturday & passed away on a Sunday. ~~ NOTE: On Sunday, March 29, 2015, he was deceased the same amount of time, 73 yrs., 4 mo. & 27 days, that God allowed his stay on earth, before calling him home. ***

He married Laura (Shepard), Pennington & they had nine children together, plus, they reared one of their daughter's daughter, Mrs. Mae (Pennington), Combs, (her husband: James Combs), making 10 children they had raised. There was a total of seven daughters & three sons. Jesse was preceded in death by his first born child, Lila Pennington, Memorial #181862748, died in 1913, age: 22 yrs., 9 mo. & 26 days & Carter, the youngest of their three sons, killed in a single car accident in the year of our LORD, 1925, on the east side of Hamilton Ohio, at the age of 20 yrs., 7 mo. & 13 days.. He was the 2nd to perish in this family of 12.

Jesse & Laura were married on up till he died with Edema (excessive fluid in body cavities or tissues). It was the first marriage for both of them. Grandma Laura Pennington never remarried, but lived on with her daughters. They kept her & took very good care of her till she passed away at age 94 in 1962.
