The headstone inscription reads;
BELOVED DAUGHTER, SISTER & NIECE
She is buried with her uncle Daniel J. Minerva as they share the same memorial.
SHANNON P. MINERVA:
19 years, 3 months, 23 days
She was a lifetime native of Chiselhurst, New Jersey. She was born into this world with many health challenges from the start; doctors gave her 6 months to live but God blessed us with her presence until he needed her with Him who loves her the most. Shannon was the first offspring that was born to the family and she was the niece of a longtime friend of mine; her uncle "Bobby; Donna & Cousin Robbie" miss her every day especially during birthdays and holidays… She was 19 when the Lord gently called her home. She was a beloved daughter of Denny Minerva of Williamstown, New Jersey and Cheryl Youngkin of Chiselhurst, New Jersey and a Loving sister of Chelsea and Ashley. She was a beloved grand daughter of Rosanna Minerva of West Berlin, New Jersey and Dennis Minerva of Shamong, New Jersey and Robert and Marguerite Youngkin, Sr.; and a beloved niece of Doug and Lisa Minerva; Darlene and Joe Maillet; Denise Minerva; Bobby Youngkin, Jr. and Joe and Nadia Youngkin. She was also survived by her special friend Anthony Barbarano. She is very much loved and missed by her entire family and a host of friends.
Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free
I'm following the path God has chosen for me.
I took His hand when I heard him call;
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way;
I've now found peace at the end of day.
If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joys.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss;
Oh yes, these things, I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow
Look for the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life's been full, I savored much;
Good friends, good times, a loved ones touch.
Perhaps my time seems all to brief;
Don't lengthen your pain with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and peace to thee,
God wanted me now-He set me free"
