Retired U.S. Navy Captain. Speech Pathologist & Hearing Audiologist for Central Institute for the Deaf.
Completed Midshipman's School and commissioned Chicago, Illinois January 1942. Staff Admiral John S.McCain, San Diego January 1942 to January 1943. Destroyer, U S S Edison, January 1943 to May 1945. Atlantic and Mediterranean duty including Italian and Southern France landings.
Destroyer, USS Fred T. Berry, June 1945 to October 1945. Commissioning and shakedown West Coast and Hawaii. Released to inactive duty December 1945. Member of St. Louis Naval Reserve 1946 – 1951. Battalion and Brigade Staffs and Division Commander.
Recalled for duty during Korea June 1951 to June 1953. Served as Chief Staff Officer, on Commander Destroyer Squadron 9. Far Eastern duty in Task Forces 77, 72, 93.
St. Louis Navel Reserve surface program including Brigade Staff, Division Commander. Joined NROS 9-7 September 1954 as student, later instructor and staff.
He was interred with full military honors on Thursday, June 7, 2012 through the efforts of the Missing in America Project.
