Veteran of WWII 83rd Infantry Division, The Thunderbolts. The 83rd Infantry Division arrived in England on April 16, 1944 after training in Wales, the Division landed at Omaha Beach on June 18, 1944. He received the Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart with 1 Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster, American Campaign Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with 1 Silver Service Star, and WWII Victory Medal.
