Margaret "Meg" was the daughter of James Madison St.John, and Jane Hodges St. John, (born in 1804 died in 1860.) Both of her parents were born in Va.

I have seen Meg's birth place listed as Robinson, Green Co., Missouri.

Meg married James William Coker, son of Herrod Coker and Mary A.(Orr) Coker, in 1866. He died in 1873. He is buried at Milum Cemetery at Lead Hill in Boone Co., Ark.

Meg was the second wife of John King Chenoweth. They were married Nov.12, 1876.

She was Mother of: Felix Harden Coker
Randolph Madison Coker
Joseph Lester Chenoweth
Nelson E. Chenoweth
Jeff William Chenoweth
Ida Margaret Chenoweth Abercrombie (buried at Thornsberry, near Tontitown)

Meg was a sweet mother & grandmother. Meg babied Jeff all his life. She called him "Little Jeffy". All Meg's grandchildren were just crazy about her. Before she died, she wrote on the back of all her things who she wanted to have them. Her little granddaughter Clide would run to her house to be hidden by Meg when Clide's mother was after her to spank her.
