Ima Bean Fletcher Low Clark, age 97 of Newton, Texas died on May 8, 2012 at Shady Acres Nursing Home in Newton.

She was born on Aug. 20, 1914 in Jasper, Texas and was a longtime resident of Newton.

She was a retired teacher and principal from NISD and was the the owner of Fletcher's Boutique in Newton.

She is survived by her nieces and nephew, Bee Bean Burkett of Kirbyville, Texas, Janine Bean Watson and husband, Phil of Flower Mound, Texas and Mark Donaldson Bean and wife, Lydia of Newton, six great nieces and nephews and four great great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira Stephenson and Edna Cora Barrow Bean, her sister, Edith Bean Walker, her twin brother, Ira Stephenson Bean, Jr. and nephews, Ira Stephenson Bean, III and Charles Burkett.

Visitation will be on Thursday, from 5 to 8pm at Smith Funeral Home in Newton.

Funeral services will be on Friday, May 11, 2012 at 10am at the First United Methodist Church in Newton.

Burial to follow at the Newton City Cemetery.
