Willaine Miller Elliott, was born to William B. and Veigh Lewis Miller in Burkeville, Texas, on March 13, 1942. She joined them in Heaven on March 29, 2011.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 42 years, Harry Elliott; her uncle, Dan Droemer; sister and partner, Gwen Miller and Charlie Robinson; three sons and daughters- in-law, Byron and Molly Elliott, Bryce and Holly Elliott, and Brett and Robin Elliott; and five grandchildren.
Her favorite job was being Granny to Katie, Susan, Chris, Andrew, and Grayson Elliott.

Willaine graduated high school Valedictorian as a Burkeville Bearkat in 1960. She earned her BBA from Sam Houston State in 1964, and her MBA from University of Houston in 1969. Willaine lived to help others. She leaves a legacy of passionate community service. She was a founding member of the Stafford school board in 1976 when Stafford broke away from Fort Bend ISD and served until 1985. She was the Chairman of the Stafford Bicentennial Celebration in 1976 and served in that capacity for ten years. July 4, 1986, was declared Willaine Elliott Day in Stafford. She was active at church and in her sons' Scouting and sports organizations, serving, among other things, as den mother, soccer coach, Sunday School teacher, church treasurer, and choir director.

Willaine taught school for ten years and worked as a realtor for the last decade. She enjoyed playing 42, cooking desserts, watching Dancing with the Stars, and playing the piano. Nothing brought her more happiness than spending time with her family, and they will dearly miss her.

Viewing will be held Monday, April 4 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, 12800 Westheimer Road, with funeral service immediately following. A second viewing will be held at Smith Funeral Home in Newton, TX. on Friday, April 8, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 9, at 10:00 a.m., at Burkeville United Methodist Church, with burial to follow at Burkeville Cemetery.
