The 1983 edition of the Eagle (School Annual) was dedicated to Mrs. Emma Belle Brown, a teacher, friend and guide.
For twenty-five years spanning a period of time from World War II until she met an untimely death on Wednesday, November 24, 1982, Mrs. Emma Belle Brown gave direction to youths in her classroom. She was their guide as they developed mentally, physically, socially and spirtually. Her students lives are certainly richer because they had the opportunity to sit in her classsroom and learn "book knowledge" and how to interpret the great moral and spiritual signs along life's highway.
