Charlie Pagoota, Sr. was a veteran of the Korean War and a father to three children: Marty, Chuck (Charlie Jr.) and Andy as well as step-father to Sammy McCurry. He will be missed my all who loved him including his children and a host of brothers, a sister and many nieces and nephews.

He was born on 24 April 1928 in Oyster Bay, Long Island, New York to William M. and Susie S. Pagoota and was retired from W.T. Hinnant Artificial Limb Co. of Charlotte, NC. He succumbed to lung cancer on 7 October 1990 at the age of 62 at the Veteran's Administration Medical Center in Salisbury, NC.

If he ever taught anyone anything, He taught his children to be happy with what they have available to them, but always strive to make life better by the day....We (as his children) learned that there is always something better in store for us without regard to how we've lived our lives.....

There was never a time in our lives that we, as his children, spoke with him that he didn't make sure we knew how much he loved us.
