Fred Heuer Dies Saturday Morning

Frederick A. Heuer, 84, of 317 West Main Street, died early
Saturday morning, Dec. 3rd, at Hawkins County Memorial
Hospital after a month's illness.

Heuer, an educator, was born in Chicago, but had taught in
boys' private schools in Virginia and Pennsylvania for 50
years. His last post was at the Chester School for Boys in
West Chester, Pa. Upon retirement, he and Mrs. Heuer moved
here 10 years ago. Heuer was a member of the Rogersville
Presbyterian Church and was a veteran of World War I.

In addition to his wife, Catherine Walker Heuer, he is
survived by a son, Frederick A. Heuer, Jr., of Philadelphia;
two daughters, Pauline Heuer, Philadelphia, and Mrs.
Catherine Tilley, Carlisle, Pa.; and five grandchildren.

Private graveside services were held Monday afternoon
in the Old Presbyterian Cemetery on Washington Street.
The Reverend David Hale officiated.
