Donna was born May 9, 1924 in Chicago, Cook county, Illinois to Sampson Augustus Wiggins and his wife Donna Maria Godfrey.
17 April 1943 Donna married Robert James Johnson in Mason, Michigan. Robert "Bob" was the only child of Valmer Fremont Johnson and his wife Isabel Irene McCrory Johnson.
Robert and Donna owned Portland Motor Sales a Chevrolet & Oldsmobile dealership in Portland, Michigan for 4 decades. Donna was also a successful realtor in the mid Michigan area.
She and her husband were involved in the Portland Rodeo and founders of the Portland Riding Club.
Donna loved life and enjoyed people, children and animals. She was adored by her grandchildren whom called her "Nana".
Donna's father, Sampson A. Wiggins, Jr. was a Native American. He was a descendant of Mohegan Chief Uncas and of Reverend Samson Occum. Donna's children and grandchildren are members of the Brothertown Tribe.
Donna was survived by her husband of 56 years, 4 children and 9 grandchildren.
Donna was 5' 11 1/2" and was athletic, graceful, bright and kind. She was practically perfect in every way.
