On Dec. 19, 1958 Mom lost her last surviving son, Ronald Lee Heindl, on his 14th birthday when he was hit and killed by a motorist on Eleventh St. in Holly Hill. He and 2 or 3 friends were walking to a Friday night Teen dance because Mom had a flat tire and couldn't take him.
