Casualty of the Great War, William served with 11th (Prince Albert's Own) Hussars, attached 13th Sqdn.,Royal Flying Corps. He was 22 and the son of Christopher William and Helen Cecilia Parker, of Faulkbourne Hall, Witham, Essex.
He was killed in action whilst flying over German lines. and was buried at Fresnes near Arras but his grave appears to have been lost as he is commemorated on the Arras Flying Services Memorial.William is commemorated in the church of St Germanus in Faulkbourne, by a special memorial on the West End and by a stained glass window on the north side.

He was a grandson of John Oxley Parker.John lost two other grandsons to the Great War who were sons of Canon G.T. and Mrs. Brunwin-Hales, of St. Mary's Rectory, Colchester.They were................

His brother also fell. He was Second Lieutenant Henry Tooke Brunwin-Hales. He served with the 1st/4th Bn.The Lincolnshire Regiment. He was 22 when killed on 13th October 1917 in France.Interred Vermelles British Cemetery, Pas-de-Calais,Nord-Pas-de-Calais Region, France -
