Catherine "Billie" Dickerson was the wife of William "Bill" Dickerson, mother of three (Cathy, William Paul and Joseph) and grandmother of six (Michael, Matthew, Joseph and David, Gregory, Joseph). She was the middle daughter of Catherine Dolly May Lewis Penner and Otto Johanna Penner.
Billie was a very talented woman although she didn't think of herself that way. She could sew without a pattern, taught herself to knit and crochet beautifully. Most items she made were given away as gifts.
Billie would have made a great diplomat; she could get along with anyone. She had a forgiving heart even when others hurt her deeply.
She would always say that she wasn't perfect, but not one person made derogatory remarks at her funeral. Many of her friends from work could not keep the tears from falling when they said how much they would miss her.
My mother was truly my best friend; I could tell her anything and she would listen. She was a wonderful grandmother and a faithful wife to her husband her entire lifetime.
I know that my mom is happy now that she is with my father. She really didn't die in 1996; she died in 1980 when he left this earth.
