Gesche Adelheid Drücker was born 11 Apr 1820 in Leeste, Districk of Syke, Hannover. She married Heinrich Boettcher 6 Oct 1837. The family immigrated in 1859 and arrived at New Orleans 26 Nov 1859 on the ship Edmund. By the time of the 1860 census, they had settled around Third Creek, Gasconade County, MO.
Mrs. Boettcher died 3 June 1899. According to her obituary, she had lived in the vicinity of Owensville with her daughter, Martha Adelheid Schuenemeyer (Christian), the last few years and suffered a stroke while visiting another daughter, Anna Katharina Neese (Louis), near Bland. The Lord had blessed the marriage with twelve children. She was survived by one son, five daughters, and one sister.
Contributor reports that the photo to right, identified as Henry Böttcher and Gesche Adelheid nee Drücker, is not the same as the one in her possession.
