Pvt.Charles Jones joined Co. F 69th N.C. Inf. on Aug 20, 1863. Page 166 "Roster NC Troops IN War Between States 1861-1865 Vol. 4" Charles was present from Nov. to Dec. 1863. Charles was present from Jan. to Feb. 1864. Charles was reported as prisioner of war on Sept. 19, 1864. He was captured at Winchester, VA and sent to Point Lookout Maryland. Died there Feb. 10, 1865 from chronic diarrhea per hospital records #6781. He was a Methodist Minister most his adult life and when he joined the Confederace he was the Minister to the soldiers.
