CASPER--Services for Elaine Grantham, 69, will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Bustard Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Cochran of First Congregational Church (United Church of Christ) officiating.
Mrs. Grantham died April 30, 1994 at Life Care Center following a short illness of cancer. She was born Elaine T. Null April 28, 1925 in Clarksburg, West Virginia, the daughter of Lawrence Jacob Null and Thyra W. (Conaway) Null.
She moved with her family to Crawford, Nebraska in 1931, where she lived and graduated from high school in 1942.
Shortly thereafter she worked as a secretary in a law office in Chadron Nebraska and lived and worked at the Bank of America in Los Angeles for two years.
On Dec. 24, 1944 she was united in marriage to L. C. Grantham at the First Congregational Church of Crawford, Nebraska. In 1959, the Grantham family made Casper their home. They owned and operated Granny's Sinclair until 1968 at which time they purchased the North Center Conoco and the Travelier Motel. They lived and worked at the Travelier Motel until her illness forced her retirement this year.
Mrs. Grantham was an accomplished pianist. She enjoyed her family, traveling, music her pets, and reading. She was a big supporter of the Casper Troopers and the Denver Broncos. She was a member of the First Congregational Church.
She is survived by her husband, her son Tracy; and daughter, Roxanne Monterestelli, both of Casper; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; her mother Thyra Neusbaum and sister, Melinda Gilbertson of Sioux City, Iowa; and her father-in-law Scott Grantham of Quitman, Arkansas.
Mrs. Grantham was preceded in death by her father and also her step-father, Mack Neusbaum.
Burial will be at Highland Cemetery.
