Born to Ralph Green and Georgia (Morgan) Green on January 3, 1934 in Pocatello, Idaho. Jack passed away after a courageous battle with lung disease and was called to be with our Lord, February 23, 2008.

Jack went to live with Byrle C. Morse and Bernice (Johnson) Morse at age 8 years old as a foster child until age 17 years. At age 17 years, Jack enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served in Active Duty from 1951-1954 in the Korean Conflict and from 1954-1958 in the U.S. Navel Reserves. During Active Duty, Jack served aboard the USS Oriskany and the USS Antietam Air Craft Carriers, earning four Bronze Stars for detonating over 3,000 enemy mines off the Korean Coast. Jack was a member of Task Force 77 during his active Duty, also spending time in the Sea of Japan, East China Sea and Hong Kong. Jack was proud to be a member of The Golden Dragon (crossing the 180th Meridian) (International Date Line).

Jack was on the USS Oriskany during the time it was used for making the film, The Bridges of Toko-Ri (1954) starring Grace Kelly and William Holden, making sandwiches for the stars while the filming of the movie was in production.

In 1954, after the Korean War ended, Jack moved to Moscow, Idaho to attend the University of Idaho, majoring in Business. In 1955, Jack married Diana J. Nelson of Moscow, Idaho in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho on August 13, 1955. Jack and Diana then moved to Orofino, Idaho where Jack worked as a logger for future Governor, Cecil Andrus. In 1958, Jack and Diana moved to the Nelson family Farm south of Moscow, Idaho where he worked until purchasing the Farm in 1977.
Jack was an avid Outdoorsman, including, Hunting, Fishing and Camping.

Jack is survived by his Dear, Loving Wife, Diana J. (Nelson) Morse of Rathdrum, Idaho, his Four Children; Eugene C. Morse of Coeur d' Alene, Idaho, Melinda K. Morse and (Merritt P.C. Snyder) of Port Orchard, Washington, Chandie L. (Morse) Bartell and (Paul F. Bartell) of Potlatch, Idaho, Connie L. (Morse) Spivey and (Don S. Spivey) of Coeur d' Alene, Idaho, Godson; Andrew Fountain of Moscow, Idaho, Sister; Duna (Colleen Green) Hayes of Pahrump, Nevada, his Three Grandchildren; Brittany N. (Spivey) Embry of Little Rock AFB - Jacksonville, Arkansas, Haley A. Spivey of Coeur d' Alene, Idaho, Hayden D. Spivey of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, two Great-Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews and his beloved Dog and Companion "Sammy." Preceded in Death by Brother; William R. Watkins.

A Private Family Memorial Service was held at Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho, with Full Military Honors. Jack has requested his cremated remains be spread on the Family Farm in Moscow, Idaho.

Jack is Loved and Missed by all of his Family and Many Friends.
