|Birth: ||Dec. 15, 1938|
|Death: ||Feb. 19, 2007|
He isn't mourned by many,
Just his children and his wife.
For he lived an ordinary,
Very quiet sort of life.
He held his job and raised his family,
Quietly going his way.
And the world won't note his passing,
Though a veteran died today.
If we can not do him honor,
While he is here to hear the praise,
Then at least let's give him homage,
At the end of his days.
Perhaps a small headline,
In the paper that might say:
Our Country is in mourning,
For a Veteran Died Today.
