He married Mabel Helen Hoyle.
Ken served as a Lt. in the US Army during World War II. In 1956 he was recruited by Lockheed Aircraft in Atlanta, Ga, after jobs with Trans World Airlines in Kansas City and Grumman Aircraft in Connecticut.
He retired in January 1982, stayed active in the Masonic Lodge as well as volunteering at Scottish Rite Children's Medical Center. In 1987, he won the Trustees' Award, the highest honor given to volunteers at the hospital.
He and Mabel had two children:
