Elizabeth Jane Pollard was the eldest daughter and the fourth child of seven born to, Pharagus Pollard, and his wife, Sarah [CROOK] Pollard. She was born in Missouri, 30 December 1856. In Richardson County, Nebraska, 13 August 1876, she married, Joseph Ambrose Kunze. Joseph was a child of, John Kunze, and his wife, Cecilia [HOUCKE] Kunze. Together, Joseph Ambrose Kunze, and his wife, Elizabeth Jane [POLLARD] Kunze shared, seven known children. Elizabeth Jane [POLLARD] Kunze, died in Rosalia, Butler, KS, but is buried right here in Lynchburg Cemetery, amongst her own.

I noticed that the 1860 census lists the "Kountz" family just below Pharagus Pollard's family. Joseph, age 9, is the one who married (Elizabeth) Jane Pollard. Joseph and Jane Kunze (as they spelled it) lived on a farm near Eldorado, KS in the 1930s. We k...(Read more)
