|Birth: ||Apr. 2, 1877|
|Death: ||Jan. 24, 1938|
Lou Attie Williams Harris Pierce was the eldest child of Wyatt Harris Williams Sr. and Sarah F. Turner. Wyatt was a noted cattle rancher, and a descendant of the family of Roger Williams, founder of Rhode Island who was ejected by the Puritans of the Massachusetts Bay Colony. The Williams family were Baptists whose entire congregation followed Daniel Boone to Kentucky, and who had fought in the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812.
Through her mother, Sarah Frances Turner, Lou Attie was descended from (at least) three men who fought for Texian Independence, including John Bevil.
By 1900, she married William Alexander Harris, eldest child of Alexander Ewing Harris Jr. and Amanda Daniel. They had one son, Wyatt Alexander Harris Sr.
On 19 Nov 1921, she married Jay H. Pierce. Jay was the son of Alpheus F. Pierce and Letitia Monema Parks Bales.
Lou Attie Pierce was a postmaster of Beaver County.
