Debbie was born in Gloucester and moved to the USA when she was just a baby. Dennis (our father) was in the United States Air Force and stationed at RAF Fairford at the time of her birth.
She had red hair and green/hazel eyes and a spirit that would just make you want to be her friend. I was the baby sister and although there were a few years between us, we were always the "closest" to each other.
She loved fashion and was a talented artist who could draw the best outfits. I could tell her anything and trusted her beyond no other. Even though we lived seas away from each other for many years she was always in contact with me and never forgot a birthday, Christmas or any other "special" day. She loved Motown music and got me hooked at a very early age. I can't listen to Al Green without thinking about my sister but then, I just can't stop thinking about her anyway.
She was diagnosed with breast cancer and ten years later succumbed to the disease. It was a sad thing to see her go like that. Never complaining and just always holding out hope that she would recover again.
Debbie departed this life and left many family members including her beloved children Brett and Crystal, her husband Kenny, a grand-daughter Jordon, sisters Barbara, Denise, Brenda, step-sister Julie, brother Douglas, and joined our step-brother Paul, our greaving mother and step-father, numorous friends that truely loved her and I'm sure others whose lives she undoubtably touched.
I miss you Debbie. You have left a major hole in my life, one that won't be filled until we meet again in heaven. Won't that be a reunion! Love you.
