My younger sister Cindy became pregnant in April 2007 with her first baby. We were all so excited to be welcoming a first niece or nephew, a first grandson or granddaughter. We soon found out that it was a girl and immediately began buying pink baby things. Cindy and her boyfriend Jyum named their daughter Marianna Lee. When she was five months pregnant, my mom felt like something was wrong, but Cindy's doctor said all was normal. Still, she never grew like a normal pregant woman. Cindy went for her seventh month prenatal checkup on November 4, 2007. She got an RH shot, and all was fine with the baby, the doctors said. The next day, Cindy didn't feel Marianna move. They raced to the hospital and no heart beat was found. On November 6, 2007, my sister had to do what no woman should have to. She had to give birth to her daughter knowing Marianna's soul was already with the Lord. She weighed just 1 lb 7 oz and was 12" long. She didn't get the chance to meet any of the many people that loved her. She was laid to rest with her uncle, Jeffrey Choquette, who is also a baby angel. Both babies are laid to rest on top of my great grandmother, Leona Flohr. She's holding both babies in her arms until we can all be with her to help her. Marianna became a big sister on December 5, 2008. Cindy gave birth to a healthy baby girl named Rihanna Marie.

An Angel Never Dies

Don't let them say I wasn't born,
That something stopped my heart.
I felt each tender squeeze you gave,
I loved you from the start.

Although my body you can't hold,
It doesn't mean I am gone.
This world was worthy, not of me,
God chose that I move on.

I know the pain that drowns your soul,
what you are forced to face.
You have my word, I'll fill your arms,
Someday we will embrace.

You'll hear that it was:"meant to be,
God doesn't make mistakes."
But that won't soften your worst blow,
Or make your heart not ache.

I'm watching over all you do,
Another child you'll bear.
Believe me when I say to you,
I am always there.

There will come a time, I promise you
when you will hold my hand,
stroke my face and kiss my lips,
And then you'll understand.

Although I never breathed your air,
or gazed into your eyes.
That doesn't mean I never "was",
An Angel never dies...
