IN LOVING MEMORY OF:
Richard Allen Newman - 1952-1997
Written by his Mother - Rosa Lee Collins Newman
Seven years ago today this date,
Our lives changed in many ways,
A part of hearts forever lost,
As you left for heaven that day.
A handsome and caring man,
On which all could depend.
You were so much to so many,
A son, husband, father, a friend.
With eyes of brown and heart of gold,
You touched us all some way,
The heavens surely celebrate
Of your arrival seven years ago today.
Your place at home is empty now
But your presence still profound.
I miss your smile, your tender touch
Your gentle voice's sound.
We know that you are with our God
For he had chosen you,
To stand by His altered side
And help your family through.
I keep you in my thoughts and prayers
I forever hold you dear,
It's a comfort for me to know
Your presence is always near.
Deeply missed - Mother
MY DADDY IS ........
By: Rachel Newman
My Daddy is one of God's Angels
and he's always by my side
He helps me to make the right choices,
He knows the secrets that I hide.
Although I can not see him,
I know he's always near.
Sometimes I think about him
and there he just appears.
My Daddy loved me very much
And I know he didn't want to go
if he had a choice he would've stayed
because he loves my family so.
Even though I wish he were here
I know he can not be
God called him to live in Heaven
he couldn't stay with me.
I know God wasn't doing no harm
He has a reason for all of this
I'm not sure what it is yet.
Maybe my Daddy was just next on his list.
All I know is my Daddy is my Angel
with beautiful golden wings.
He blessed my life
with all great things.
