| Birth: | Sep. 29, 1832 Balestrand Sogn og Fjordane County, Norway | | Death: | 1903 Grand Meadow Mower County Minnesota, USA | Lars Trulson (Lasse Lewison) left Norway and came to America on 4/17/1861. His wife, Kristi, and he settled in Dane County, Wisconsin. After 3 years they moved to Mower County where they purchased 160 acres of land. Their son, Lewis, stayed on the family farm until he was old enough to purchase 240 acres of his own in Adams Township. The family name was changed to Lewison supposedly because the Germans of the area thought Trulson was such a hard name to pronounce.
Names are confusing & tend to change...Lars Trulson (AKA Lass Trulss. Farnes) & Kristi had 4 children: Brita (Mrs. Gilbert Gilbertson), Lars Lasse Lidal (Lewis Lewison) married to Betsy Gordon, John Lasses. Lewison married to Ragnald Hegge & Christina Lassed. married to Thorwald Olson. My Grandma Clara said that her Grandpa Lars Trulson "sold the farm to Ma & then he went out to Seattle, Washington, to live with his daughter. He spent his money there & when he got sick he came back. He stayed at John Lewison's. He had cancer...cancer of the face." - S Hemingway Family links: Spouse: Christi Jonsdatter Hatlestad Lidal Trulson (1823 - 1883) Children: Lewis Trulson Lewison (1860 - 1924)* Christina Lassed Lewison Olson (1867 - 1907)* *Calculated relationship
