Son of Lieut. Deacon Edward Morris (1630-1690) and Grace Bett ( -1705). Baptized 13 Mar. (1658 or 1659) at Roxbury, Mass. Married Elizabeth Bowen 24 May 1683 at Roxbury, Mass.

"On 29 April 1687, Edward Morris was one of three men commissioned by the planters to treat and agree for the building of corn mill at Woodstock, CT. On 12 Mar 1688, Edward Morris was one of seven men appointed by the planters to state and settle highways and make return in writing."
