Curtis Lee Knigge

Curtis was born at Heights Hospital, Houston, to Mary Agnes (nee Johnson) and Otto Curtis Knigge. He attended Jeff Davis and San Jacinto high schools. He served nearly four years in Field Artillery and as a radio operator with the 88 Blue Devil Div., US Army, stationed in Italy during WW II. He attained the rank of Sgt. He married Thelma Leona Amyx, widow, at Berachah Church in Houston on April 23, 1960. Shortly after military duty, Curtis began learning the printing paper trade, progressing through various positions until moving into outside sales, and sales manager for Butler Paper Company. After retirement, Curtis shared his knowledge in the printing trade. He placed his faith in Jesus Christ alone for his eternal salvation. He is survived by his wife,

, his three sons, Terry D. Amys and spouse Eliska, R. Keith Amyx and spouse Kathleen and son Guy Knigge;and three grandchildren. PID by parents, brother LeVerne Knigge. Funeral services held on Wednesday, Nov. 22 at VA Houston National Cemetery Chapel, with Rev. Dr. Robert Dean, pastor, officiant.
