JOHN BERNARD BIANCKINO of Channelview, Texas, died of natural causes on Sunday, February 16, 2003. Born on January 31, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois, "Johnny" attended St. Theresa School, was a graduate of St. Thomas High School and attended the University of Houston. He served in the U.S. Navy as a communications specialist and later became an officer in the Houston Police Department. He will be fondly remembered for his dry sense of humor, his deep love for his family, and for the affection that he held for his numerous dogs. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, February 20, 2003, from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Earthman Resthaven Chapel, 13102 North Freeway, Houston, Texas 77060. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. on Friday, February 21, 2003, at the chapel of the Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, Texas.
