Russ came from a large family and was loved by all who met him. He had an exceptional sense of humor.
Russ graduated from Homewood-Flossmoor High School in Flossmoor, Ill. in 1970.
He Graduated from Arizona State University in 1976 in Politics/Humanities. At the time of death he was attending Rutgers University for a Master's in Communication.
Politics and Communication were all natural to Russ, who was passionate in his Politics and communicated well with everyone. You knew exactly where he stood. He was compassionate in his love for his fellow human beings and when I write this I am reminded that he was truly a man before his time because his compassion was on global scale. He never had an enemy, because once you were his friend,it was forever, not just life, but forever.
Russ was a loving father, brother, and friend.
He was devoted to his wife Judy Chase Boothby( b.1954 m.1980)and son Russell Clark Boothby(b.1990), of Yardley Penn.who survived him.
Russ was also survived by his mother Bette Jane Johnston Boothby ( b.1926)and father Bryce C. Boothby( b.1924) of Flossmoor Ill., and Benton Harbor, Michigan. Sisters Diane E. Boothby( b.1953) of Wauconda, Ill., Laurie Ann Boothby Eichelman(b.1968) of Hinsdale Ill.,and brothers Bryce"Skip" Boothby Jr.(b.1950),of Raliegh N.C., Wayne Clark Boothby(b.1962) of Yardley, Penn. and James McClellan Boothby(b.1959) of Benton Harbor, Michigan, as well as many nieces and nephews.
