My great-grandmother was the daughter of John Holsinger and his second wife Minnie Mason. The family moved to Baltimore, Maryland when she was about 10. She was married to John Krickbaum in 1922 and they had two sons, Marvin and John. They also raised her half-sister Vallie's daughter Margaret "Peggy" Bauer Naylor.
She was survived by her sons, her niece, grandchildren John, Janet and Michael Krickbaum and Cathy Snoots, and great-granddaughters Jennifer and Jessica Snoots.
I called her Nanny-Up-The-Steps because you had to walk up a big flight of steps to get to her apartment. She died just before my 6th birthday. I remember she was really nice and she let me get into things and that she always had a dish of red Twizzlers for me. I wish I had more time with her, but she died as a result of a fall.
