James (Jim) Pottorff resident of Mechanicsburg area died Oct 19, 2003 at St John's Medical Center in Anderson, Indiana. He was born March 24th 1941 the son of Robert P and Anna Daymon Pottorff. He was a U.S. Army vetern. He was a 1959 graduate of Markleville High School and a 1969 graduate of Ball State University. He retired from Delco Remy of General Motors in Anderson in 1994 after 32 years of service. He attended Markleville North Christian Church. He was an avid Cubs fan. He had been a member of the Markleville Band. He was a member of the Indiana Old Car club, the Hoosier Model T Club, the Indiana Corvette club, the Indiana Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, and the Frankton Snowmobile Club. He had been active in the Boys Scouts of America, 4-H, and Christian Youth Fellowship. Jim is survived by his wife Sharon Pottorff; son James M Pottorff; a sister Ruth Ann Seal. His father Robert W Sr (1 week short of 100), mother Anna (101) & brother Robert W Jr have since passed. Jim's family on the father's side sometimes have muscular dystrophy and his family continues to support that organization. Notes from his wife: Jim was a sweet person who cared for others and wanted to always see his family provided for and happy. He had several nieces and nephews that he loved especially a special great nephew Christopher. Happy Birthday Jim. It 2007 and you would be 66 today (March 24, 2007). Chip and I miss you very much. Thank you Mary for making sure that Jim was remembered on this site on his birthday. You are a sweet sister to me. Love Sharon
