Kay's daughters are Karen & Petra and son is .....

She was a loving grandmother.

This is a shock. I am so sorry.

She was the founder of the The Orange County Ataxia Support Group, Newland Street Church of Christ, 13852 Newland Street, Garden Grove, CA. Kay had many speakers at each meeting to educate us about anything and everything to do with ataxia. She welcomed those affected with symptoms of ataxia, their family, and friends and anyone else interested.

She helped so many people - me, too. When I lived in Laguna Beach I first knew her in a NAF booth. She was the one who first told me to see Dr. Susan Perlman. EUREKA! Dr. P knew what was wrong with me (after 17 years!) – Late Onset Friedreich's Ataxia. I went to the Kay's first Support Group - in Huntington Hospital often. We became friends and had fun.

A memorial service is to be held Saturday, August 26, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Newland Street Church of Christ at 13852 Newland Street, Garden Grove, CA.

ANECDOTES:

My favorite image of her is of Kay and Wren on their respective scooters with "Laverne and Shirley" outfits. - Jody, a NAF friend.
