Son of Kirk Frank and Mary Francis Kincannon Cain. Brother to Charles Cain and a sister Frankie Jean Sheen, deceased.
Husband to Aloha (Whitten) Cain, married on Feb. 5, 1953, in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Father to four sons: Lynn, Randy, Chris and his wife, Robin, and Stacy of Edmond. Grandfather to eight and Great Grandfather to four.

Richard was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy Seabees in Okinawa.

Richard was a rural mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 30 years, retiring in 1985. He was also a rancher and owned and operated his own oil leases. Richard's passion was hard work and enjoying family and friends.

He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 41 in Comanche, where he lived and served as past worshipful master at Loco. He was also a member of First Baptist Church in Loco and Rural Letter Carriers Association.
