Sadly, forty-year-old Tammy was a victim of domestic violence along with her daughter Chelsie, sister-in-law Karen Garner Beaty and nephew Bobby Beaty.
Excerpts from Tammy's obituary in the Florence Times Daily, dated 09 April 2009:
Tammy Morgan Garner, 40, of Greenhill, was called Home by her Lord and Savior on April 7, 2009.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Thursday, April 9, 2009, at Rogers High School Gym. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the gym. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Tammy was employed by Belk Department Store in Florence. She was a loving daughter and mother of one.
Tammy was full of life, outgoing and a friend to all who knew her. She was dearly loved by many and will be missed by all.
Tammy was accompanied in death by her daughter, Chelsie Sierra Garner, Greenhill. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, William and Syble Purser and Percy and Doris Morgan. She is survived by her parents, Douglas and Shirley Morgan, Ford City; brothers, Kevin Morgan, Ford City, and Douglas Morgan Jr. and wife, Renee, of Greenhill; sister, Kimberly Hammond and husband, Bryan, of Greenhill; nieces, Tiffany and Laken Morgan, Greenhill; nephew, Parker Hammond, Greenhill, and accompanied in death by nephew, Bobby Beaty, of Illinois.
