Priscilla Wood Boyd
Priscilla, or affectionately called Prissy, was the daughter of Andrew Wood and Charlotte "Charity" Langley. She was part Cherokee Indian which she got from her mothers' side of the family.
On May 8, 1842, Priscilla married Samuel Newton Boyd the son of William R. Boyd and Elizabeth Burton in Forsyth County, Georgia on May 8, 1842. They had seven children.
They would soon move away from their family and friends in Georgia and head west where Samuel was awarded some lands. They settled in Hartville, Missouri for a few years, then Madison County Arkansas and finally Christian County, Missouri.
Priscilla was my 2nd great-grandmother.
