Conjecture: This may be Ann HERSHBEGER born c 1771 in Frederick County, VA, the daughter of Henry HERSHBERGER. Anna m. 1st to Abraham BEAM on 17 May 1788 in Shennandoah County, VA, and then m. 2nd to Tobias BARE on 30 Oct 1816 in Rockingham County, VA.

Tobias BARE was perhaps the son of Jacob BAER, an older brother of Elizabetha BAER, wife of Revolutionary War soldier Ensign Georg Michael TROUT, who are both buried beside Anna.

Alternate Information: Other sources indicate Anna was actually Elzabdtha BAER's youngest sister and had married John George ERGENBRIGHT on 10 Mar 1788 in Rockingham County, VA. This version does not indicate why she reverted to her maiden name before her death in 1848. One vague source suggests they were divorced, no further information.

Updated information from Gary Argabright (3/4/2013) indicates this second scenario cannot be true for this second Anna moved to Ohio and is fully accounted for.

Research continues.
