John Milo Huntley, was born to Horatio Milo Ray and Ellen Leora McDonald Huntley, February 23, 1926 on the family farm in Grant County, Oklahoma and departed this life April 4, 1993 at his home in Kinsley, Kansas after a long illness.

John was the Grandson of Horace Milo Huntley and Mary Elizabeth McBride Huntley and Emanuel and John McDonald and Anna Eliza Henry McDonald.

At five years of age he lost his mother and his remaining boyhood days were spent on a farm with his father and step-mother, Stella. He loved animals and helping with their care and for a time he performed as a trick rider, until an injury prevented him from pursuing this profession.

Early in his life he made his Confession of faith in the Lord, was baptized and became a member of The Church of God in Caldwell, Kansas.

He served his Country with the 5th Army division until his discharge in 1949.

On February 1, 1959, he was united in marriage to Bonnie Worley, at Ponca City, Oklahoma. To this union was born a son, Billy Ray and two daughters, Barbara Jean and Becky Lee.

They were farmers at Caldwell, Kansas until 1969 when the family moved to Kinsley where he was employed at a feedyard, later by State Construction until his retirement in 1982.

He is survived by his wife of the home, son Bill, wife Jean and daughter Kelsey Burkhart of Kinsley, Kansas; two daughters, Barb and husband Monty Bell of Lewis, Kansas; children Lance of Ottawa, Kansas and Aprilly Ann of Topeka, Kansas; and Becky and husband Mark Downey of Spearville, Kansas; two sisters, Nadine Farnam and husband Max of Ponca City, Oklahoma; Esther Knox of Tulsa, Oklahoma; a sister-in-law, Almeta Huntley Fortmeyer of Medford, Oklahoma; a host of nephews, nieces and friends.

His parents, step-mother and a brother, Nolan Leroy Huntley preceded him in death.
