Amy was born in Reading, Pennsylvania and moved to Maryland in 1978. She graduated from Linganore High School in 1995. A lover of both science and art she went on to receive her bachelors degrees in biochemistry and ancient studies. She was attending Johns Hopkins University to pursue her Ph.D. in geology and crystallography. She also interned at the Smithsonian analyzing ancient artifacts.
Amy was a talented artist and a very special person. She will be dearly missed by all who ever had the chance to know her.
She was killed in a two car collision on Tuesday afternoon from a wet roadway at the age of 32 years.
