Howard I. Habegger, 89, Bluffton, died at 6:40 a.m., Dec. 20, 2002, at Richland Manor in Bluffton.
He was born Sept. 10, 1913, in Hancock County to Noah and Emma Augsburger Habegger. On June 25, 1944, he married Marcile Luginbhul, who died Dec. 19, 1985.
Mr. Habegger was a farmer and also had been a bus driver for Bluffton Schools and worked at Master Mix Feed Mill in Bluffton. He was a member of the First Mennonite Church and graduated from Mount Cory High School.
Survivors include a son, Carlton Habegger of Bluffton; two daughters, Connie Briggs of Berea, Ky., and Cindy (Robert) Marquet of Lancaster, Penn.; a sister Nina Rupright of Arlington; three grandchildren, Ariel Marquet, Stephanie Briggs and Sara Briggs.
He was preceded in death by a son, Curtis Habegger, a brother Lester Habegger, and two sisters, Elnora Christman and Fanny Clinger.
Services begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday at First Mennonite Church in Bluffton. the Revs. Luise Wideman and Claude Boyer will officiate. There will be a private family burial at Clymer Cemetery near Mount Cory.
Friends may visit from 5 to 8 p.m. tonight at Chiles Sons-Laman Funeral Homes in Bluffton.
