* Originally her headstone was a wooden cross, which deteriorated many years ago.

Burnnetta was the daughter of William and Phebe (Hedges) Vandeveer. She married (1) George W. Colvin in 1857 and they had four children: William Thomas, Benjamin Franklin, Pheobe Jane and Telith'a Anna. She (2) married John Frederick Lees and they had ten children: Sarah Katherine, Charles Henry, Mary Eveline, Edna, LeRoy Leighton, Maude, Bertic, Geric, Harry Edgar and Carrie Alice.

I believe that this is the same person as my records for Mrs. John Lees. Her grave is about midway in the 2nd row. The grave was once enclosed with a wooden fence. The wooden marker was tall and narrow with a drepression for a picture. Both gone now. /pr...(Read more)
