Marshall Trent Monts
Birth: Feb. 10, 1954
Death: Feb. 12, 1954

Marshall was born to Willie Edwin and Daphne Summer Monts at the Naval hospital in Jacksonville, FL.

He came into this world six months early, leaving again after only two days.

When Marshall had passed from this world, doctors came to Dad and asked permission to do an autopsy. Drugs had been administered in an attempt to grown his lungs and they wanted to see if they had worked.
At first Daddy was adamantly against it, but a kindly nurse later came and gently explained that they only wanted to make a tiny incision to check his lungs; if they could check the effects on Little Marshall they may be able to help children in the future. So with that in mind, Daddy agreed. His heart broke at the thought, but if it could help others he was willing to make the sacrifice.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday morning at Estes-Krauss Funeral Home in Jacksonville, FL
