Native of Penetanguishene (Penetang) Ontario, Canada. Norman was an expert in the insurance industry for many years, working for Creditor Resources, Inc (CRI) and then as Co-Founder of Impact Interactive Solutions, Inc in Roswell, Ga.

A man of great humor, there was little he prized more than his family. Still, he managed to find time for classic cars, socializing, telling jokes (of which he had committed thousands to memory), and generally enjoying life.

He made friends easily and had many generously scattered around two countries. His humor was always light, happy and brought smiles to the faces of almost everyone he shared it with. For those of us who knew him, we all feel lucky to have had him to share a bit of time with, to smile and laugh and on the rare occasion, to watch him wrestle a chair or two.

To my knowledge, Norman A. Jamieson was the undefeated champion of chair wrestling having suffered zero (0) defeats and successfully defending his title until retirement a few years ago. In the annals of chair wrestling, there has never before been an undefeated champion of the sport to retirement, making Norman's life even more extraordinary to those who were close to him.

Norman was survived by his wife Carol and two sons Darryl and Ryan, a daughter-in-law Heather, two sisters, Donna and Mary-Lou, three grandsons Damon, David and Ethan and predeceased by baby daughter Lisa.

On February 9th, Norm was laid to rest in his beloved Penetang with flags flying at half staff in his honor. He was deeply loved, and will be even more deeply missed. I am proud to have known him as a friend.

I'm sure there will be more to add after the shock of what's happened turns to fond remembrance, but I wanted to share this line from an email I received from Norm's son, written by his wife Carol that sum's up everything we came to know and will always remember Norman to be.

"...someone described Norm as 'bigger than life itself' - he was a friend to many and none was ever a stranger to him – bringing a smile to your face, and laughter to everyone he met - jokes and stories that will perpetuate for years to come – although his sense of humor will always be remembered with love and laughter, there was so much more to the man that has left us with a legacy that will remain with us always - a legacy to treasure 'for sure eh'!"
