Blessed Harrington the feline adopted son of Michael & Brenda Harrington went home to be with Jesus this morning at the Amber Leaf Pet Hospital in West Chicago, Illinois. He had a tumor in his jaw that was spreading to underneath his tongue. The decision was made to lovingly euthonize him before the pain became intolerable.
We adopted him from the Dupage County Animal Control. Blessed had quite a personality. "Big Boy" was into everything. We call him Big Boy because this cat was huge! He weighed in at 19lbs. He was 14" tall and 19" from nose to tail. He was fast, strong, smart and he knew it. He was tactical in his thinking. He would sit there and figure things out. He loved to play in water. He didn't drink from the water bowl like a normal cat. He would dip his paw into the water bowl and then lick his paw. Not only did he have a really LOUD purr but he loved to trill. My wife and I would ask him if he was "singin' with the angels?"
He is also survived by two step-sisters, Hope and Claire. There will be no funeral. If you would like to add some flowers and a note here it would be most appreciated.
Cremated, Location of ashes is unknown.
Specifically: Ashes scattered in Warrenville, Illinois.
