Roberta A. Nixon (nee Saggau), 56, died on Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at her home in Belleville, N.J. The funeral service is at the Parow Funeral Home, 185 Ridge Rd., North Arlington, N.J., on Saturday, March 12, at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover, N.J. The family will receive friends on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Born in Newark, N.J., Roberta lived in East Orange, N.J., before moving to Belleville in 1985. She worked as a cashier for the Stop & Shop in Clifton, N.J., for the past eight years. Roberta was the beloved wife of Charles; the devoted mother of David and Christopher; the dear sister of Karen Diller, Judith Scarpa, Anthony, Carl and Michael Saggau, and loving grandmother to her pups, Lady, Gus, Gracie and Jake. In lieu of flowers, the family will be accepting contributions in her memory at the funeral home.
