Luther Bell Smith IV, a resident of Danbury, WI died at the age of 71 in his home on March 19, 2005. Luther was born on December 16, 1933 in Tyler, Tx to Luther Bell Smith, III and Grace Helen Beam. He, affectionately known to his family and close friends as "Skipper", is survived by his wife of 23 years, Cleonne Frederick Borst of Danbury, WI, daughter, Stephanie Lynn Brennan of Boulder, CO, step-sons: William Borst and wife, Donna of Henderson, NV, Joseph Borst of Knoxville, TN and Alexander Borst of Rock Island, Il, step-daughters: Roseanna and husband Ronald Koehler of Union, KY and Rebecca and husband Vincent Spero of Arlington, Tx, two half-brothers: Lynn Carroll Smith and Burton Smith and one half-sister, Susan Smith. Six grandchildren: Brandon, Miranda, Benjamin, Zachary, Phillip and Samantha. Luther earned his B.S. in Agricultural Economics and Animal Husbandry at Iowa State University and then did post graduate work in agricultural economics at Texas A & M. Skipper joined the United States Navy in 1955, serving in the Pacific where he attained the rank of Lt JG. Luther worked for the First National Bank, Fort Worth, TX, Swift and Co., Dallas, Tx, Pfizer Pharmaceutical, Denver, CO, and management and personnel consulting in Austin, TX. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catolic Church in Danbury, WI were Luther was a lector. Luther is a desendant of John Tetter Beam (Maternal Side)and William Love (Paternal Side).
